Based on TeamForge 5.x.

GerritForge is based on SOAP API of TeamForge 5.0. It works on any 5.x release and it has tested and certified mainly on CollabNet TeamForge 5.4.

TeamForge 6.x compatibility.

As any CollabNet TeamForge extension, GerritForge can still use the 5.x compatibility layer of TeamForge 6.x releases. Anyway this could limit the availability in GerritForge of 6.x specific features, such as the global roles, associated to Gerrit functions.

Linux java Java pre-requisites.

GerritForge™ is compatible with the same version of Linux:
- CentOS 5.4 / 32 and 64-bit
- RedHat Enterprise Linux 5.4 / 32 and 64-bit
- Suse Linux 11.0 / 32 and 64-bit

GerritForge™ is based on Gerrit that requires a JDK 1.6 even when TeamForge™ relies on a previous release of Java Virtual Machine. TeamForge™ SCM adapter plug-in is available for both JDK 1.5 and 1.6 releases.

TeamForge™ hot-fix and service packs.

Whenever a hot-fix or service pack is deployed on top of an existing TeamForge™ installation, the GerritForge™ SCM plug-in has to be reapplied. No specific compatibility check has to be performed as GerritForge™ plug-in does not affect any base functionality of TeamForge™ standard code-base.
Always backup the existing TeamForge™ runtime before performing any upgrade or applying the GerritForge™ SCM plug-in. When TeamForge™ does not start after upgrading, open an incident to CollabNet® helpdesk and send over the full set of log files and the sequence of operations made during upgrade.
